The public feedback period has been extended for the Burnco Aggregate Mine Project, formerly known as the McNab Valley Aggregate Project.

Burnco wants to build a new sand and gravel mine on the northwest shore of Howe Sound, approximately 22 kilometres southwest of Squamish. Production capacity would be about 1 million tons of sand and gravel per year, with an expected mine life of about 16 years.

The comment period has been extended due to a technical issue on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency Registry website that occurred between September 16th to 18th. Members of the public can now submit feedback on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency website until October 3rd, 2016.
