Woodfibre LNG have announced that two contracts have been awarded for the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of their proposed liquefaction and export facility.

KBR Inc and JGC America Inc, both American companies were awarded the contracts. In a release Woodfibre LNG said the two would ‘conduct the FEED in parallel and will produce lump-sum turn-key proposals for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract.’

Byng Giraud, Country Manager and Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Woodfibre LNG says; “By awarding the FEED contracts, we are also sending our strongest signal yet that the Woodfibre LNG Project is close to becoming a reality.”

Woodfibre LNG says the decision on which company gets the EPC contract will be based on their proposals submitted at the end of the parallel FEEDs.
