West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country Member of Parliament Pamela Goldsmith-Jones has a new job within Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government.

Goldsmith-Jones is now the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade. Formerly she served from December 2015 to January of this year as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The region’s local MP will now work alongside François-Philippe Champagne who was appointed as the Minister of International Trade earlier this month.

The Prime Minister’s Mandate Letter to François-Philippe Champagne highlighted that the ‘overarching goal will be to increase Canada’s trade and attract job-creating investment to Canada, focusing on expanding trade with large fast-growing markets, including China and India, and deepening our trade links with traditional partners’.
