The 15th annual Whistler Balding for Dollars was a success.

Twenty heads were shaved in total, including two women and five elementary school-aged children in support of children with cancer at BC Children’s Hospital on Sunday. The goal this year was $15,000, which was exceeded with a total of $22,592.

The amount raised also includes a silent auction hosted by the Crystal Lodge and Suites. Organizers say the total amount raised since 2002 is now over $291,000.

This years event took place in the traditional location of the GLC, and saw live music from locals, The Hairfarmers and was hosted by Mountain FM’s M.J. with hair cutting courtesy of Blackcomb Barber Shoppe.

Organizers have already said they are looking forward to reaching $300,000 at the 16th annual Whistler Balding for Dollars event.
