The Audain Art Museum has announced that over $300,000 was raised at their first anniversary One-derful Gala that was held last month.

More than 350 guests took part in the celebrations on March 11th that included live music, a silent and live auction and a Scotch & Chocolate Bar at The Westin Resort & Spa Whistler.

Museum Marketing & Communications Manager Justine Nichol says funds raised will go towards exhibition and educational programs at the museum that include; family studio Sunday, artist lectures, kids connect tours, summer camps, drawing workshops and yoga.

The museum will be hosting a one year anniversary community open house weekend on April 22nd and 23rd, where admission for both days will be free.

It was also announced that the Audain saw 55,000 visitors in its first year and welcomed 2,500 members.
