Police in Squamish are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.

RCMP say that at approximately 3:50 AM on July 6th a man attempted to rob the 7-11 on Cleveland Avenue with a firearm. However, the male did not obtain any money or merchandise and left without further incident.

Police are continuing to investigate and have described the man as Caucasian, 5’7″ – 5′ 9″ in height, 20-30 years old with a slim build, 160-170 lbs wearing light tan sneakers, slim blue jeans, a white shirt peeking out under a hoody with light coloured gloves and a black hoody with a white spiderweb-like design on the hood (hood up) and kanga pocket. The hoody had a white triangle with a circle around it on both shoulders and white markings that are slightly visible under a backpack. His backpack is described as a green camo style backpack with orange piping. The suspect also had a beige bandanna covering his face.
