The Squamish Food Bank has announced totals for their Christmas in July fundraiser.

The annual event took place July 14th & 15th and raised almost $4,000 in cash donations and 3,500lbs of food. Volunteers were stationed at all the grocery stores in Squamish for the annual event, where volunteers handed out lists detailing the most needed items, as well as collecting donations. The Squamish Lions Club also sold hot dogs to raise funds at Hector’s Independent Grocer.

Food Bank Manager Christina Rupp is thankful to everyone that came out to support the event by donating food and cash, as well as their volunteers. “We couldn’t do it without them” says Rupp.
