Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue is looking for new recruits.

The volunteer group needs people of all ages (18+) and abilities and requires team members with a variety of skills, from back country travel to high angle rope rescue and more.

Those interested in joining need to be able to commit to three years of service, have outdoor experience, be physically fit and willing to learn. Applicants must of course live on the Sunshine Coast to be eligible. Training will be provided, and regular attendance is expect. New recruits are also subject to a six month probation period. ‘Call outs’ can last anywhere from an hour, overnight or longer, with approximately twenty calls a year.

The deadline to apply is September 6th. More details can be found here.
