RCMP have confirmed that Ohman has been safely located, and thank the public for their assistance.

Squamish RCMP are searching for a missing local man, and are asking the public for assistance.

Matthew Ohman was last seen on Friday September 15th at approximately 5:00 p.m. in Squamish. He was seen by a family member entering a wooded area off Axen Reserve in Squamish.

Over the weekend several extensive searches of the area and surroundings took place where Ohman was last seen with negative results. Police have been working with the man’s family, the Squamish Nation and Search and Rescue.

Ohman is described as First Nations, 30 years old, 5′ 8″, with short dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a ball cap with a First Nations design on the front, black sweater with ‘Giants’ across the chest, red shorts, black runners and was carrying a red ‘Budweiser’ cooler back.
