The Resort Municipality of Whistler is hosting a community forum next month, where new research and strategic direction on housing, transportation and community planning will be presented.
The municipality says the event is in response to the changing needs of the community and that policy recommendations presented will be aimed at preparing Whistler for ‘long-term success’. A press release states that input from the event will help inform decision-making and 2018 prioritization and planning.
Whistler Mayor Nancy Wilhelm-Morden says; “The Community Forum is one of many public engagement opportunities. The Community Life Survey, public open houses, and Committees of Council are all efforts to encourage participation in local community planning.”
The community forum takes place on November 2nd from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Whistler Conference Centre and will feature a gallery walk, presentations and break-out group discussions.
