Drop in floor hockey at the Brennan Park Recreation Centre
The Brennan Park Recreation Centre is offering a new drop in floor hockey program for those age 7 to 14 years old on Friday nights from 7:45-8:45pm. Regular drop-in admission rates apply. Also on Friday nights at the Brennan Park Ice Arena, join us for the Everyone Welcome Public Skate from 7:15-8:45pm! Don’t forget to give those skates some use before our last day of ice on May 16th!

An encore performance on Saturday, May 10 at 3 PM takes the STSS back home to the Squamish Baptist Church, presenting the same great music for an all-ages show in a traditional concert setting.
Tickets are $12 adults and $10 students/seniors, available at Billies Bouquet, Mostly Books, Highland Video, Greyhound Bus depot, Sea to Sky Singers choir members, and at the door. Doors open 30 min. before show time.
Valleycliffe Elementary Spring Carnival
Valleycliffe Elementary is putting on their annual spring carnival and silent auction on Friday May 9th. The theme is Hawaiian Luau and it will take place at the school from 5p.m. to 8p.m. There will be food, lots of games for the young and young at heart and fabulous silent auction items up for bidding.
Balding For Dollars-Squamish
Balding for Dollars is taking place on May 10th from 11:00am-3:00pm at the Adventure Center in Squamish. Balding for Dollars Shave for the Brave is a great fundraiser that raises money for Oncology children and their families in need. Money raised helps pay for medicine, equipment, supplies, feeding, parking, and housing for when the families are in treatment. The event supports the needs of children ages 0-18 and their families at BC Children’s Hospital Oncology and Hemotology Department. Come out and support a great cause! The Ore Crusher
On Saturday May 10th take part in the Ore Crusher mountain bike race. First in the Squamish Triple Series presented by Test of Metal Inc. The race will be a 40 km traditional cross-country multi-laps mountain bike format through the trails in Brackendale. Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race
The Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race will be returning to the Squamish on May 10th. This one-day event will challenge the bodies and minds of racers. Test your limits on a spectacular 40-50km course featuring Orienteering, Trail Running, Mountain Biking, Climbing, and Rapelling. This will prove to be one of your biggest endurance accomplishments of the year. Race Solo or in Teams of 2 to 4. Finish in 4-8 hours.

Visit any of the more than 430 M&M Meat Shops locations across Canada to support the 19th Annual M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day benefiting Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) medical research. The 2nd Energy Film Festival is an educational community event that’s main purpose is to raise awareness about global warming issues and sustainable energy consumption. It’s happening June 8th at Millenium Place in Whistler. The festival features Canadian and US Films and documentaries that deal with environmental topics such as global warming, sustainable energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Whistler CAAP Walk
The 2nd Annual Whistler CAAP Walk (Cancer Awareness And Prevention) is a 25km walk of the Whistler Valley Trail from Dusty's to Dusty's with the option of a 5km or a 12.5km loop. Squamish Triathlon- a memorial to Bob McIntosh
On July 13th the “Squamish Triathlon- a memorial to Bob McIntosh” presented by University Heights and Squamish Savings will celebrate its 11th anniversary. The Squamish Tri, includes a 1500metre swim in Alice Lake, a four lap, specatator friendly, bike course utilizing a section of the Sea to Sky highway, and a trail run through part of the Cheekeye Fan.
