"Now the weather is warming up, the motorcyclists are coming out. My biggest pet peeve is a few motorcyclists that think it is their right to pass all the traffic when stopped in a road closure or even at a red traffic light. They not only pass when they are not supposed to but on the wrong side of the road. The rules of the road are not just for cars and trucks but for motorbikes too. I just can't get over this pet peeve of mine. Am I alone in this????"

"What is it with people passing over a double yellow line in a two-lane winding section with limited visibility? Do these people have a death wish? I am not a "slow driver", either. I ALWAYS catch up to these morons because there is ALWAYS a slower vehicle up ahead... and TWICE last month as I pulled over to allow room for an ONCOMING emergency vehicle with lights and sirens flashing, cars PASSED between us - right down the middle of the road... that is when I want a rocket launcher installed on the front of my car - these fools are a disaster wating to happen.

"I drive to Whistler from Squamish everyday. No one on this highway can tell me that they did not expect it to SNOW while driving the highway during the winter months. This is afterall a Ski Resort. When there are signs with "Caution: Extreme Road Conditions" It means don't tailgate, don't speed, don't talk on the cell phone while driving and don't use the passing lane when it's covered with 4" of ice. Really now? Think a moment-if you pass a vehicle using a lane and you can't see tracks or road-markings, this is including all the 4X4's, SUV's, Civic's, chances are not in your favor. People! GET A GRIP. We only have on chance at this beautiful thing called life. Common sense will help me get home to my amazing daughter as I am sure many of you'd like to make it to see your loved ones too. Goodnight! I feel better-thanks for your time."

"I have had a number of encounters with buses tail-gating lately, why do they find it necessary to get so close to cars? I can't understand what the point is in sticking so close to a car when conditions are not ideal, and driving so fast and even cutting off cars. It seems quite dangerous to drive this way, especially given the number of passengers they may have, and potential number of distractions on the road as well. I have to agree with the construction zone rants, it would be nice for the 50 zones to be removed while no-one is working for sure, especially since it will likely be awhile until they are used."

"I have been driving this highway since I was 18 years old... before construction, I could drive it in my sleep... and guess what people... it is NOT a killer highway!!! There is NOTHING WRONG with our highway. We have a beautiful, scenic drive. A fantastic mountain road and the signs were put there for a REASON! Respect the road. Respect other drivers. Drive for the weather. Most of all.... ENJOY the drive, don't treat it like a race track!!!"

"OK, so I agree that we shouldn't be speeding through construction zones, but to have to drive 50 km/h for the whole drive from the city is not pleasing for us that work long hours to accomodate the masses that come to Whistler. We work all day and then drive on our days off to Squamish or Vancouver in hopes to save some money and cut the huge costs of living in Whistler. Then 2-3 hours later we can get back home after crawling along the highway, where there isn't even anyone working. Sure I agree that when crews are working it only makes sense to slow down! My problem is that the whole highway is lined with pylons and there isn't any construction going on for most of the way. Why not keep the 80 km/h speed limit most of the way and work on one part of the road at a time instead up ripping it all up and not doing anything with stretches of road for weeks or even months. Quit wasting my time and others and perhaps we would all drive 50 km/h through the construction zones if we had an opportunity to at least drive faster than a crawl at some points on the highway!"

Speeders!
"Why is it that so many drivers race through the construction zones, or other sections of the 99 hwy, ignoring the speed limit signs, and then giving the finger to those of us who do respect the speed limits when they get the opportunity to pass ... "ÄRG rightbackatchya!"."

Chill Out!
"Why can't we all just get along? The roads would be a much nicer place if we could all spread some love. I get so tired of hearing people rant about the roads, we all live here, we all have somewhere to go, and we all have to be more patient with eachother. If you gave yourself an extra 10 or 15 minutes to get somewhere the slow person in front of you wouldnt make you angry, maybe you could try to enjoy the view as well. Remember to use you common sense. GIVE the "right of way", don't TAKE IT! Smile. Breathe. And enjoy the ride. We would all be safer on the roads if everyone would just relax."
