The Vancouver Canucks will be in Whistler this weekend.

Acting Mayor Jen Ford says thirty four players will be participating in a training camp running Friday through Monday using the Meadow Park Sports complex.

All regular ice programs, public skating, drop in hockey and league games are cancelled for the weekend at the Meadow Park Sports complex. It’ll be back to normal operations by 3pm on Monday. Classes in the fitness studio will also be cancelled for the weekend to make room for the team.

The public are being reminded to plan travel accordingly and if possible ride a bike, use public transit or walk. The practice games are of course free for the public to watch.
