The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation has shattered their previous fundraising record at their 21st annual charity golf fundraiser this year.

The event that took place September 16th, 2016 at the Fairmont Chateau Golf Club & Hotel and raised over $210,000 for local non-profit charities. For the 4th year in a row, TELUS’ ‘Birdies For Bucks’ campaign raised an additional $28,800 for the Foundation.

A celebrity dunk tank also saw Olympians Steve Podborski, Ashleigh McIvor Demerit and Julia Murray donate their time and generously hang out on the course for the day as participants paid money to try and dunk them in a tank of water. The event included over one hundred auction items, live music and an appearance from W Network’s Bachelorette Canada, Jasmine Lorimer.

Local Sea to Sky Non Profits are now invited to apply for grants for the October 1, 2016 Funding Deadline. For more information and to download an application form visit WhistlerBlackcombFoundation.com.
