Changes have been announced to the ‘Pemberton Winterfest’ schedule.

The annual event that kicks off today will be reduced from three days to two, due to the closure of One Mile Lake because of dangerously slippery conditions.

Carlee Cindric, Pemberton Winterfest Chair says Sunday’s events will not be taking place: “The One Mile Lake has been closed now until further notice, and so we’re not able to continue with the Polar Bear Plunge and associated activities this Sunday…”

Today’s events will see an outdoor movie as well as live music, with tomorrow’s schedule containing a winter market, ‘kidz zone’, fireworks and more.
