Lions Bay residents can now stay up to date if an emergency strikes with the new ‘LBAlert’.

The Village of Lions Bay is following in the footsteps of Squamish, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District and Squamish Nation by subscribing to the ePACT emergency notification system. The system means village staff can keep residents connected in the case of an emergency.

The alert system sends notifications by text, email, or voice to landline, in order to keep residents informed. ‘LBAlert’ will be used to notify Lions Bay residents of a variety of events, ranging from severe weather, wildfires, floods, unexpected road closures, evacuations and more.

You can find more details about the free service and details on how to sign up here.
