The Audain Art Museum will host the provincial launch for the 8th annual B.C. Cultural Days weekend on September 28th.

The weekend is a province-wide initiative with the goal of raising awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of the public in the arts and cultural life of their community.

 

The free launch evening includes an opening ceremony, with a traditional First Nation welcome from both the Squamish and Lil-Wat Nations, along with live music and a youth art challenge at the gallery. The launch event runs from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

Family friendly activities will also take place in Whistler over the weekend from September 29th to October 1st. With numerous venues participating in the celebration including the Maury Young Arts Centre, Whistler Museum, Whistler Public Library and Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre. A number of local artists will also be producing live art along the Village portion of the Cultural Connector trail.
