Police in Whistler are investigating an incident in Whistler Village that saw a visitor to the region flee to safety.

At approximately 12:45 am on November 12th, a Vancouver woman was visiting Whistler and reported that she was followed by a male in Whistler Village.

The woman walked to a hotel and once outside the entrance the man approached her and asked for a cigarette. He then grabbed her sweater and tried to hit her, however the woman was able to run away and call police.

The man is described as 5’3″ tall, in his forties, with buzz cut blonde hair and green eyes.

Police continue to investigate and ask that if anyone has any information they contact the Whistler RCMP at 604 932-3044 or call Crimestoppers on 1-800-222-8477 if you wish to remain anonymous.
