Police in Squamish are looking for information following an armed robbery at a medical cannabis dispensary in the community on Friday.

The incident took place at 99 North Medical Cannabis Dispensary at approximately 3:30 pm on December 1st in downtown Squamish. RCMP say two men entered the store and used a firearm to rob the staff, and then fled north on Second Avenue to Vancouver Street where a truck was waiting for them.

The suspects are being described as Caucasian in their 20’s, and were both wearing black hoodies. The vehicle they used is described as a silver newer model Ford F-150 with markings on the side, and was last seen around Loggers Lane driving at high speeds.

Squamish RCMP Corporal Sascha Banks says such a brazen robbery with firearms in the middle of the daytime on a Friday has been very scary for the community; “We are very lucky no one was hurt and it is essential we get criminals like this off the street”.

If you have any information you’re asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8277).
