The Mountain FM Community Christmas Care Food & Toy Drive hosted at McDonald’s in Squamish on Decmeber 4th raised more cash and toy donations than ever before.

The community not only dropped off a staggering amount of food and toy donations but also donated over $22,116 in cash. Numerous local businesses donated to the charity that distributes Christmas hampers to those in need in the community.

 

 

This year a business challenge also saw a number of local food & beverage establishments compete to raise funds. The winner this year was Mag’s 99 and included Backcountry Brewing, The Watershed Grill, Howe Sound Brewing, Counterpart Coffee House and Northyards Cider. Together the challenge raised $11,578 for Community Christmas Care.

Squamish McDonald’s also gave away over 600 egg McMuffins, 600 coffees, 327 hash browns and 129 hot chocolates, totaling over $3,000 in product alone.

Since 2012 the event has raised over $100,000 for Community Christmas Care as well as hundreds of toys and food donations.
