RCMP in Whistler are looking for dash cam footage and witnesses following reports of a dangerous driver last week.

Police received a report on May 3rd at around 2:30 pm of a 2017 black Range Rover travelling northbound on Highway 99 in a dangerous manner, exceeding the speed limit.

Witnesses have said the vehicle tried to pass other vehicles on the shoulder of the road, and came very close to cyclists.

A concerned citizen followed the vehicle to the Whistler Village area where police were able to arrest the driver, a 43 year old female from West Vancouver for Dangerous Operation Of a Motor Vehicle. The driver was
released from custody with a Promise To Appear in court on June 12th in North Vancouver.

The cyclists who may have had a close call with the driver, and witnesses are asked contact the Whistler detachment at 604 932-3044 or Crimestoppers anonymously.
