The Liberals held onto their seat in the West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky riding on election night.

Patrick Weiler managed 22,135 votes or 34.9% of the ballots. Weiler will take over from Pamela Goldsmith-Jones who announced she would be stepping down from the role earlier this year.

Conservative Gabrielle Loren came in second place and brought in 17,106 votes, while the Green party’s Dana Taylor received 14,099 votes.

63,501 of 94,491 registered electors voted in the riding (67.2 %). The overall population within the riding is listed as 119,113.

Elsewhere in the Province, the Conservatives won 17 seats, with the N-D-P and Liberals tied at 11. BC’s two Green MPs, leader Elizabeth May and Paul Manley, kept their seats.
