BC Professional Burn Fund Centre “Home Away From Home” Fundraiser

The Whistler Professional Firefighter’s Association and the Buchholz’ family are hosting a community fundraiser at Creekbread on November 8^th from 5 pm to 8 pm to raise funds in support of the BC Professional Firefighter’s Burn Fund Centre.

The Burn Fund Centre in Vancouver is an 8 room respite, “Home Away From Home” facility primarily for burn survivors and their families.  The Centre also supports patients who are recovering from trauma or illnesses referred by other treatment hospitals in the Vancouver area.  The Buchholz’ family was recently the recipient of an extended welcome at Burn Centre while receiving family needed treatments at the BC Cancer Centre.

There will be “Live” and “Silent” auctions, raffles and 50/50 draws with the hope of raising support for the Burn Centre and the support they offer those in recovery.
