Come join us for a free film screening of ‘Coextinction’, community building and Q&A with the film-maker!

Do you love to ski or snowboard, but are not interested in the apres-ski scene? Come to the library for an educational community experience filled with beautiful visuals and stimulating conversation after a day of hitting the slopes. And if you don’t call Whistler home, don’t worry: we’ll make sure to finish in time so you can catch the last bus back to Vancouver!

On March 2nd at 3pm, come join us at the Whistler Public Library for a free community event which will feature a screening of the film ‘Coextinction’, followed by a Q&A with one of the film-makers. Snacks will be provided!

This event is an Eco-Action Accelerator grantee-led initiative as part of their participation in this youth program, and isn’t directly Ocean Wise-led.

We are grateful to be able to present this event on the shared, unceded territory of the Lil’wat People, known in their language as L?il?wat7úl, and the Squamish People, known in their language as S?wx?wú7mesh. We respect and commit to a deep consideration of their history, culture, stewardship and voice. Particularily as we engage in conversations about our role in environmental conservation and sustainability, we recognize that for time immemorial they have been and continue to be the traditional owners and caretakers of these lands and waters.
