Flow Break-A-Thon

May 11

Squamish Ninja Training, Squamish

Last year, we ran our first break-a-thon in collaboration with Martial Arts For Justice and as a community we raised approximately $3000.

Our goal this year is to raise $5000. For every $20 donated, one person will have the opportunity to break a wooden board on May 11, 2019 from 4-6pm at Flow Training Centre.

If you can’t make the event and would still like to make a contribution, donations are also accepted online – https://www.canadahelps.org/s/vpjdH

Information about Martial Arts for Justice:

Martial Arts for Justice mission statements is …

“to protect vulnerable people from violence and oppression through the platform of martial arts.”

MAJ operates a unique annual fund raising campaign called “Breaking Boards Breaking Chains” – this is a campaign accross the country where martial arts schools and students raise pledges by breaking boards.(see web site for more info) By motivating, educating and supporting martial artist’s and school owners across the country we create an alliance of martial arts schools that believe in helping to protect those that are vulnerable.

We do this through our unique education program called “Enhanced Resilience” that empowers and prevents trauma as well as allowing trauma healing – we are currently working in some of the most vulnerable communities. MAJ also supports the work of justice by fighting slavery, human trafficking and other forms of violence against the poor through other great charities such as www.ijm.org
