The world’s fastest athletes on ice will slide into Whistler, B.C. as Luge Canada will host the 53rd FIL Luge World Championships.

More than 150 athletes, representing more than 25 countries, will battle it out for the title of king and queen of luge in the most prestigious event on the international calendar in a non-Olympic year.  The action-packed event will feature Après Luge – a track full of amazing activities including a performance by The Hairfarmers, local food options, beer gardens hosted by Gibbons and so much more for the whole family to enjoy!

Be trackside to check out the athletes who will reach speeds up to 130km/hour while sliding down the high-banked corners of the world-renowned Whistler Sliding Centre track that snakes down Blackcomb Mountain.

Cheer on Team Canada in their quest to slide onto the World Championship podium!

Whistler Sliding Centre

  • Feb 6 – Races 10:30am – 12:45 pm, Awards 1:00pm
  • Feb 7 – Races 2:00pm – 7:30pm, Awards 8:30pm
  • Feb 8 – Races 1:45pm – 5:45pm, Awards 6:30pm

No parking on-site – access via the Excalibur Gondola Mid-station.
